Bridget Regan As Wonder Woman?

There's been an awful lot of buzz about the possibility of Bridget Regan (who plays Kahlan Amnell in Legend of the Seeker) playing Wonder Woman in the upcoming film adaptation of the famous comic book heroine.

A petition was created by fans who consider her the best candidate for the role. Here is their proclamation:

We, the undersigned, strongly believe that the actress Bridget Regan would be the ideal candidate to play Wonder Woman in an upcoming film adaptation. Bridget is a very talented and well rounded actress best known for her role on the TV series Legend of the Seeker. We feel that she has all the right qualities to give justice to the character of Wonder Woman. All we are asking is to at least give Bridget Regan a screen test to see if she fits the necessary requirements to fulfill the role of Wonder Woman. We hope that you consider our recommendation and give Bridget the chance to tryout.
